In 2002, we took a trip to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo to celebrate Addy’s birthday. We had no idea what to expect, only the description of a beautiful beach and a nearby hilltop restaurant with a fantastic view of the sunset. Zihuatanejo was extremely charming with its beachside restaurants, strolling musicians and artisan marketplace.

We stayed at the Las Brisas hotel in Ixtapa, this is the hotel where we will be having our wedding reception. We loved our room and its ocean view, the staff, and especially the private beach. Addy got to sit in the sun and do nothing but turnover and enjoy mango daiquiris while she watched Lou body surf and get lost in a wave from time to time.

When Lou proposed last December we immediately started to think of whether our wedding would be in Orange County or the Bay Area. We joked about eloping while we were in Australia, but neither one of us really wanted to celebrate without our loved ones. Then we talked about eloping and taking our families with us, that evolved into taking a few friends, but…we wanted everyone there – so, in the end we decided to elope and take everyone who could come with us.

We are looking forward to spending a short vacation with friends and family to celebrate our marriage. And we’re very excited to introduce most of you to one of the most romantic and beautiful locations we’ve ever visited. So we really hope you are ready and as excited as we are to join us on a trip we’ll never forget!
